SerialDebug

SerialDebug

Updated 13/10/2010: Fixed Makefiles, added support for buffers over 255 bytes and added 32-bit number output.

This is a TinyOS 2 component for the TelosB / Tmote Sky platform. It is not a PC software application!

This is one way to debug TinyOS applications using a terminal communicating with the node over a USB connection. This component supports output of strings, integers, chars and hexadecimal strings.

Once installed, an application can wire to SerialDebug and then print strings, integers or chars to the serial port for analysis on a serial terminal.

Usage

Intended for Telos motes (ie. Tmote Sky), with the data going over the USB. View the output by installing Texas Instruments FTDI drivers and use a terminal program on the virtual COM port.

License

Distributed under GNU GPL v2 license.

Download

NB: You must install the latest version of TinyOS for this to work. (See this page for details.)
